The daughter of a Navy family, Rosemary Wilson is a lifelong resident of Virginia Beach. She attended Bayside High School and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Old Dominion University.

Her professional career has provided her with the experience necessary to provide responsible leadership. In fact, she’s the embodiment of experience at the local level.

Rosemary:
  • Taught in the City’s public school system.
  • Served on the Virginia Beach School Board from 1996 to 2000 and as Vice-Chair from 1998 to 1999.
  • Has served on the Virginia Beach City Council since 2000.
  • Works as a realtor with Prudential Towne.
Rosemary is a loyal Republican, a leader who can get things done.
  • Long-time member, the Republican Party of Virginia Beach.
  • Past President, Princess Anne Republican Women’s Club.
  • Hampton Roads Chair, Women for McDonnell.
  • South Hampton Roads Chair, Americans for Prosperity–
      leading the fight against Card Check and Obamacare.
  • Led the fight on City Council to help cut the real estate tax rate by 27%, from $1.22 to $0.89.
  • Spearheaded the policy change that makes sure our City no longer does business with companies that employ illegal aliens.
  • Was the first on Council to stand up against the recent proposed tax increases.
  • Received the Women in Business Achievement Award, 2007, Inside Business Magazine.

Rosemary has always been a strong leader in keeping our community safe and providing a world-class education to our children. She has worked diligently for smart, fiscally responsible growth that keeps our promise with the Navy and preserves the security of NAS Oceana’s home in Virginia Beach.
